Kelley's Kids

This person got a warning months ago and now is back at it again.  She was warned again a couple days ago to take down these images right away and they are still there.

Look -- she's ripped the head of "Ben" from Mo's Digital Pencil

and has cut and pasted it onto a traced photo body as the header for her shop.  She has many, many violations on her site, (including trademarked art like Strawberry Shortcake.)  How many artists can you find that she has ripped off?

  1. Wow. Thanks for the "heads up" (pun unintended). That's just so wrong. :(

  2. Amazing how she has copyright protection on all the images on her site. . . Some people have no pride or shame

  4. You better keep your faces shut until your find out all the facts!! There has been no cutting and pasting going on here!! I'm on the DT and god damn proud of it!! With so many digi artists there, there are bound to be some sort of similarities...so quit spreading crap until you get all the facts!!!
Renee (YES-I will sign my name)!!!

  5. Renee, glad you have the courage to sign your name -- but let me just tell you - you're defending the wrong person.

Anyone trying to sell images that have stolen even one recognizable line of mine either WILL be stopped.

I am sick and tired of people who can't draw themselves leeching off my hard work. What the heck is wrong with this world. Didn't your parents ever teach you to do your own work?

If someone doesn't have the artistic talent and moral integrity to use their own skill and imagination, they're in the wrong business. People shouldn't wait till I hire a lawyer to find that out. It's against the law and it's unethical. Sheesh.

  6. I have some of your images and see nothing that I would recognize as yours..there are so many digi artists out there that there are bound to be a few images that sort of look alike!! If you had a problem with Bonna, then it should be between you and her!! Not on this friggin blog!! BTW-I will not be entering any more challenges or buying any more images--along with the rest of our DT!!

  7. I don't think you should be speaking for the rest of the DT in this matter Renee we don't all share your views. Doreen

  8. you are right--a couple other of the dt agreed with me-so i should've said "me & a couple of the "OTHER" dt...

  9. Renee, it's always better to be honorable over blindly loyal, so I hope you and your "couple of others" take a closer look at the evidence before you leap to someone's defense. Like I said, Bonna has been warned privately several times before for this very violation.

Publicly outing a company who is deceiving their customers into believing they're purchasing original art is exactly what this page was created for. Unfortunate that we need it. xoMo

  12. You know Renee its ok to be loyal to your designer hell i would hope mine all do it for me, but the simple fact is that people do copy your work and in all honesty i ask you is that fair ?

If it was the other way around her exploiting Mo or any of us what then, i hate to say this hun but you really do not know if she does or she doesnt you are just loyal which is a great thing but to come and attack us here when we are just standing up for own rights as stamp artists is hardly a good thing now is it ????

  13. I'm glad this site exists. We need to do a better job of educating the masses. There is a huge difference between images with similarities, and images that match up that closely, line for line.

Not too long ago, another company was outed for having "produced" digi art almost identical to that found on the deviant art site, drawn by another artist. Taking someone else's images and changing a line here and there does not make it your own. It's one thing to be inspired by someone's art, and completely another to copy it, change a few lines, and claim it as your own.

  14. May i also just add here as mo previously said people do not appear here just for the fun of it, it is after many contacts with them and if they still carry on what other option do we have but to try and shame them in to stopping ???

  15. just call me one of the ones who blindly follow then, because I will ALWAYS stand behind Mo and Marlene and the countless others who work hard to create art on their own without having to resort to copying the work of other people. Mo spends more time than she should protecting HER work because people with no scruples or morals continue to take what is hers and try to make it theirs. it is just wrong. she makes so many attemps to bring about reconcilliation in a private forum before things ever reach this type of public message. it's a sad situation that should never take place to begin with.

  16. Looks like she's admitted and posted an apology, Mo. The problem with this "new world" is that there is no integrity, no honesty, no morals, no scruples. Parents raise your children right if you want a better world.

  17. the site no longer exists,,,,,,unless she changed the name or something.

  18. Yes -- she took them all down. I heard from someone on her DT that she was waiting for this to blow over and was still planning to make them into RUBBER stamps . . . until she was put on the Wall of Shame.

  19. I fully admit to downloading 'freebies' from others and using them without knowing who the original artist was. When I went to look for more of the same digi stamp to purchase (or something in similar fashion) I found the *real* artist. I can't take back the cards and prints I've already made and sent (nothing blank, just within cards) but I can make myself a better person by not using that digi stamp anymore. As it turns out, the 'stamp' I was using wasn't even a digi. At all. Someone ripped the preview of a Gorjuss girl.

Anyhow, I fully plan on redeeming myself by purchasing some next pay day. From the original Artist.

I had no idea this would be such an issue. I don't know stamp designers well enough to spot 'technique' yet but I'll do my best to try.

Thanks for the blog, you now have another new follower and someone with morals on your side.
